Ponterio & Associates, Inc., came into being in mid 1982 as a successor firm to Ponterio & Wyatt Coin Galleries of San Diego, Inc., which had been formed in 1973. The company specializes in better Ancient and World coins and Paper Money and has conducted more than 130 auctions during the past 23 years.
President. Richard has been involved in numismatics as a collector and professional dealer for more than 45 years, becoming a dealer while on active duty with the U.S. Navy in the late 1960's. He is internationally known for his knowledge and expertise and is a member of numerous professional organizations such as the International Association of Professional Numismatists and the Professional Numismatic Guild, plus the American Numismatic Association and various others.
Senior Photographer. Carola is the primary numismatic photographer, auction & pricelist librarian of the firm and has been with the company since 1988.
Senior Cataloguer, Researcher and Numismatist. Stewart, a collector of coins and paper money for more than 50 years and a professional numismatist for 35 years, has been with the company since 1991.
Cataloger, Researcher, Graphics and Photographic Specialist and Numismatist. Kent has been a long time collector and has been with the firm since 1993.
Office Manager, Accounting, Graphics and Catalog Editor. Martha has been with the company since 1993 and oversees the day to day operations of the firm as well as coordinates all activities relating to auction.
Website data transfer, updates credit department files. Kyle Ponterio has been with the company since 2005, he also maintains and updates our mass mailings.
Shipping and Receiving, updates credit department files, and Quality Assurance. Anthony Lang has been with the company since 2005.
